COMFORT ZONES ARE COMFORTABLE.
Growing up no one ever mentioned the word college or university in my household. Never. There was never an expectation or plan for the future. For all practical purposes it is fair to say I was ignorant.
However, I realized early in life education was the only way out of poverty and off the streets for me. I earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Wesley College. When I returned to Kansas City, I attended the University of Missouri – Kansas City earning a master’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in economics. Next I attended the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Law earning a JD (Law Degree) and the Bloch School of Management earning a master’s in business administration (MBA) degree. In 2015, I earned a doctorate in education from Saint Louis University. So obviously I can read, write, and do arithmetic right?
Apparently this desire to learn did not extend to learning about health because I would eat anything put before me, especially the wonderfully delicious satisfying love of my life…the highly sought after Peanut Buster® Parfait Royal Treat®. Just thinking about it makes me smile.
