FRIENDSHIP
Today’s “Triple P” post or positive post for the posse is about FRIENDSHIP.
Recently, I had an opportunity to travel to Washington DC with a true friend. It caused me to reflect on my friendships.
Muhammad Ali said,”Friendship is the hardest thing in the world to explain. It’s not something you learn in school. But if you haven’t learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven’t learned anything.”
A friend is someone you trust and share a deep level of understanding and communication. A good friend will:
1). Show a genuine interest in what’s going on in your life, what you have to say, and how you think and feel about things.
2). Accept you for who you are.
3). Listen to you attentively without judging you, telling you how to think or feel, or trying to change the subject.
4). Feel comfortable sharing things about themselves with you.
Sounds simple right? For some it is, but more of a challenge for others. Are you a good friend?
As friendship works both ways, a friend is also someone you feel comfortable supporting and accepting, and someone with whom you share a bond of trust and loyalty.
Reach out to your true friends TODAY and let them know you appreciate and support them.
Remember, keep dreaming and focusing on your goals!
