GRUMPY GRUMP

GRUMPY GRUMP

Today’s “Triple P” post is about GRUMPY GRUMPS.

How many of you know people who are always grumpy?

Here are few things you may want to consider when these grouches cross your “life path.”

1) NEWS FLASH. Quit wasting your precious time on people who don’t belong in your circle! Love them from a distance. A very L O N G distance.

2) SAVE YOURSELF. Dealing with these people can be like trying to save a drowning person. The drowning persons natural reaction is to keep their head above water. Because they want to live, they grab on to you!! A lot of times, the person trying to save the drowning man actually drowns himself. While I’m not advocating letting people drown, I am suggesting there is risk involved when you associate with people who are negative and unhappy.

3) DON’T ANSWER THE DOOR. A sad, unhappy, and angry person is like a man or woman who is drowning. Because they are miserable in their own lives, they do whatever they can to spread that misery to you. It’s just like my mama used to say, “Misery loves company.” If this is true, don’t open the door. Look out the “peephole of life” and walk away from the door really slowly and quietly so you can pretend you’re not home and “mentally and psychologically” unavailable.

If you do open the door, you run the risk of consuming all of their negative, toxic, and depressed energy; and like the drowning man in the scenario above – you yourself are pulled down.

In the end, life is very short, we don’t have much time to do all the things we would like to do. As a result, it’s important to maximize your time by associating with people who lift you higher, and higher, and higher. Pick your “life swimming” associates carefully. Be your own lifeguard. Save yourself.

Create. Achieve. Inspire.
