DID YOU KNOW PART OF BEING SUCCESSFUL IN LIFE IS BORING?
You heard me correctly. Success is a simple process of repeating the same productive steps over and over again until you reach your goal. Here is part of the formula I use to win in life:
1). TUNE OUT DISTRACTIONS. I have been called every adjective in the book over the years because I chose to focus on educating myself and changing my life circumstances. Heck, I wanted to get out off the streets before I ended up dead or in prison. I was definitely headed in that direction. Yes, it’s true I’ve been in school all of my life, but I have also been blessed to do a whole bunch of other exciting stuff too. Get rid of people who are not for you. Remember, a dog doesn’t bark at a parked car.
2). GET IN LINE AND STAY IN LINE. From the classroom to global travel and from elected office to real estate entrepreneurship, I never give up. This habit amazes some people while producing a boatload of insecure, easily intimidated haters. Remember, stay focused no matter what’s going on in your life. This too shall pass.
3). LEARN TO CHEER FOR YOURSELF. Unfortunately, most family members and so-called friends will NOT be happy and thrilled about your success in life no matter how big or small. Most of you know what I mean. This “mental block” causes them to live marginal lives never understanding how to leverage relationships with other people to strengthen their own position. This is beyond ignorant to me. Remember, if you don’t believe in yourself, other people will not believe in you either.
